Drug Destruction Event – Friday, July 17th at the Mohave Middle School parking lot.

The Scottsdale Police Department in partnership with Scottsdale Healthcare and the City of Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Department is conducting a free drug destruction event.  The event will take place in the parking lot of Mohave Middle School (5520 N. 86th Street) from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. 

Nationally, abuse of prescription and over the counter medicines is one of the biggest drug trends currently being dealt with in our communities.  It is important to get unwanted medications out of the medicine cabinet so they don’t end up in the wrong hands and misused.  Please bring your expired or unwanted prescription and over the counter drugs to be turned in to police officers for proper environmentally safe disposal.

If possible, please keep all medicines in their original containers and remove your personal information from the label while leaving the name of the drug intact (if prescription).  Syringes will not be accepted so please do not bring these items.
