Counterfeit Money Detection For Business Class Presented By The US Secret Service, Tuesday, August 18th.

Come join the Scottsdale Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit as we host Special Agent Kenneth Huffer of the United States Secret Service on how to detect and handle counterfeit money. Learn how to guard against the threat from counterfeiters by becoming more familiar with U.S. currency. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, August 18th, 2009 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the La Mirada Desert Center (8950 E. Pinnacle Peak Road in Scottsdale).

Last year $64.4 million in phony cash snuck its way into the U.S. economy, the highest amount in over five years. Unfortunately, developments in photocopying and computer technology have made the illegal reproduction of currency bills easier than ever.

Scottsdale business owners or managers are welcome to attend this fifth class in a seven class Business Watch series.  Please contact any of the members of the Crime Prevention Unit below to RSVP.
