A Dogged Investigator

Posted by Christine Burke on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, In : criminal defense investigations

Yep, I'll take the analogy, of course I love dogs!!!

No really, I have been called a "dogged investigator" and "like a dog with a bone" with relation to my investigative style. I take that as praise and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Recently, that canine comparison came to a head on a criminal investigation. We had heard rumors of a similar incident where it may have been a false report, which would certainly help our current case. Nothing like a "crying wolf" witness to add lack of credibi...

What Happens If It Isn't Served In Time?

Posted by Christine Burke on Thursday, May 28, 2015, In : Process Serving

Well, it could be a BIT more than a parking ticket.....you could lose important evidence in your case, or if worse comes to worst, have your case dismissed!

What Was Your Last Meal Like? Maybe They Need A Mystery Shopping Investigation!

Posted by Christine Burke on Friday, February 13, 2015, In : Mystery Shopping Investigations

Do you have a favorite restaurant here in town? You know the place, where it's usually great and then one day you get awful service? Or maybe it's a change of management?

I know just the thing! Yesterday I had one of the worst meal experiences in a local Tempe restaurant which is part of a small local chain. I love going to this restaurant, just not the Tempe location.

The best part of knowing a chain restaurant is supposed to be consistent service at all locations and knowing that your favorit...

Process Serving: Number of Attempts Needed

Posted by Christine Burke on Monday, January 19, 2015, In : Process Serving
I recently took a call from a potential customer. They were looking for a process server. They were in Apache Junction AZ and wanted IMMEDIATE service of process for a divorce in Scottsdale AZ. They asked the price, which I quoted at our standard rate, providing three attempts.

The customer appeared to be taken aback, asking "Only three? The other company offered five!" My response to that was that any good process server should make the service on the first attempt, negating the need for the ...
